TruckTeam in The Valley: trucks, tiramisu and a fantastic atmosphere

FROM LASAGNA TO TRUCK SHOW!

On Thursday, together with SolarGuard, we arrived at our partner's location in Italy, where we were welcomed with homemade lasagna and tiramisu. We honestly couldn't think of a better way to ease into the Italian temperatures.

Friday was mainly dedicated to preparations. Thanks to Dennis Wierks from the well-known yellow and blue driving school, the GIS van was unloaded so we could give it a proper clean alongside the beautiful trucks from Big-Shop Truckstyling and De Groot Tanktransport. After all, those trucks still needed some extra attention before the show. If you're driving all the way to Italy for a truck show, you can't bring all those road miles and dirt onto the showgrounds.

Then it was time to head to the venue!

Thanks to Rommelse Transport, who attended with their Metallica Iveco, our GIS container received a prime location on the event grounds. On top of it, two containers from Max Hunt were stacked, creating an impressive setup that immediately became a real eye-catcher.

On Friday evening, around 25 Dutch attendees gathered at the venue. Although the official truck show had not yet begun, we were given the unique opportunity to position the first trucks already. It was the perfect start to a weekend that would ultimately be all about friendship, trucks, and an incredible atmosphere.

THE FINAL TOUCHES

The setup continued on Saturday morning. Our stand was completed, while the final finishing touches were added across the venue. Banners were hung, goodie bags prepared, the welcome arch installed, and all merchandise unpacked.

As the gates opened, the truck show gradually came to life. Meanwhile, the organizers were busy finding the perfect spot for every truck. And with a backdrop like this, that was hardly a difficult task.

WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN...

Towards the end of Saturday, the sun slowly disappeared behind the mountain peaks. At that exact moment, the entire venue transformed.

The light turned golden, truck lights switched on, and cameras started appearing everywhere. It was one of those moments when everyone thought: we need to take some photos of this.

And that's exactly what happened.

A huge amount of content was created in this almost fairytale-like setting. Trucks, mountains, lights, and Lake Como in the background. It simply doesn't get much better than that.

And as if that wasn't enough, the good times continued well into the night.

SUNDAY = FAMILY DAY

For some people, Sunday morning started a little later. We won't mention any names, but it was clear that not everyone had gone to bed early. The last few drink cans were still sparkling in the grass as if they wanted to enjoy the weekend a little longer themselves.

Sunday had much more of a family atmosphere. Plenty of local visitors found their way to the venue, creating a lively and enjoyable crowd.

With the temperatures rising, it wasn't surprising that more and more people sought relief in Lake Como throughout the day. From casually dipping their feet into the water while sitting on a chair to building complete floating rafts, everyone found their own way to stay cool.

As if the scenery wasn't impressive enough already, a helicopter flew over the venue during the day. Specially arranged for the occasion, it provided the perfect opportunity for anyone looking to capture unique content.

And many people took full advantage of it.

MORE THAN JUST TRUCKS

TruckTeam in The Valley proves every year that a truck show is about much more than just trucks. Of course, they are the stars of the event, but it's the surroundings, the food, the drinks, the music, and especially the people that make the weekend truly special.

For Go-In-Style, it is also a great opportunity to further expand our presence in Italy and introduce new people to our brand. But just as important is the chance to reconnect with so many familiar Dutch faces hundreds of kilometres from home.

The fact that so many people from the Netherlands travel to attend an event like this makes it even more special.

Driving from the Netherlands to Italy for a few days at a truck show may sound like quite a journey. But once you're there, surrounded by trucks, mountains, and Lake Como, it feels exactly like where you're supposed to be.

In short: the trucks looked amazing, the food was great, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the lake was never far away.

In reality, the atmosphere never left.

Grazie mille, TruckTeam in The Valley. See you next time!
